Wall - Chair
Dynamic
In this project we produce a partition wall that combines an upright and vertical position with a sitting position.
The wall is built in such a way that the leg of the chair is hinged to the seat, the seat is hinged to the backrest and the backrest is connected with stretchable rubber to another strap which is attached to a rod that stabilizes the entire system.
PARTS
Threaded Rods and Hex Nuts
We used 4 threaded rods which were used as a movement axis between the parts of the chair and we threaded before and after each piece of wood a hex nuts.

Tension Bar
We used 2 tension bars to put the chair on the door frame.

Hoops
We used 32 hoops that we printed on a 3D printer in PLA.

Wood parts
We used pieces of wood with a thickness of 6 mm which we cut on a CNC in which circles of different sizes are cut as needed.

Rubber Thread
We used a rubber thread which we wrapped around 2 axes in the top part so that it would hold the average weight of a person.

The Process of Creating the Pieces of Wood
STEP 1: We created the layout of the pieces in an AutoCAD file and then sent code to the CNC machine

STEP 2: We inserted the 6 mm thick wooden plates into the CNC and cut the pieces.

STEP 3: We glued all 3 similar pieces with carpenter's glue in order to get the desired thickness (18 mm) and waited for the glue to dry.
